An eight page book consisting of four sheets folded at the fore edge and bound using what I call a split accordion spine binding. The text, which is an extraction from the writings of Ralph Waldo Emerson, is hand gilded in a script that mimics the handwriting of Emily Dickinson. The pages are make readys from an earlier project of prints inspired by trips to Denver's Botanic Gardens made in collaboration with Melinda Laz. I am fond of this practical binding style as it requires printing on only one side of a sheet and works well for single sheets. The pages open flat and it stands for display beautifully.
