This box is part of the Lovely and Amazing series. It is wrapped on the inside with surface treated laserprint copies from Ruth’s scrapbook collection of handwritten poetry. The outside is wrapped with laserprint copies of scans form her biology note pages tinted and coated with pigmented wax. Inside the box a taxidermy bird (a brown headed cowbird?) is mounted on a dowel, Propped in front of the dowel is a photographic reprint of one of Ruth’s photographs, glazed with gocco printed mica. A wooden base for these items holds three lenses, behind the lenses are bird bones and eggs. The back wall of the box is lined with more biology page laserprints protected with mica. A plastic magnifying lens is affixed to the front edge of the box; a mirror mounted to the back wall. These two items make viewing different aspects of the bird possible.
